Newly elected member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the entity of Republika Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, took and signed the solemn oath today at the constitutive session of the National Assembly of the entity in Banja Luka.
In her address before the RSNA MPs, Cvijanović said that she had the opportunity to take such an oath before, in her previous positions.
“I think it is extremely important that, before I take up my new duties tomorrow in the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I have the opportunity to take the oath in front of you MPs, but also to address you and the citizens of the RS. This is a big day for all of us,” said Cvijanović.
She added that she believed that they have shown a great capacity and potential “to be the first to enter into the formation of the government, “that we do not have any delays, knowing that there are big challenges ahead of us, but also knowing that we also have big job ahead of us that the citizens expect from us to be completed within the deadline”.
“I intend to, through close cooperation with the president of the RS, our assembly, the government, to continue to cooperate and define what are the main goals and guidelines of our future policy, taking into account the interests of the RS, taking into account its constitutional competences. I am going out there with open stance and for all those who want to abide by the Constitution, I can be a good collaborator for everyone,” said Cvijanović.
