BiH has a good condition for the production of the industrial plants, while the number of flax manufacturers is being increased in last years, and flax oil and seeds are highly demanded at the domestic market.
On that occasion, the lecture for the agricultural manufacturers was held with the topic “Cold-pressed oils for a healthy life“ in Bosanski Petrovac, where the number of flax manufacturers is being increased in last several years.
Lecture was held by Milos Nozinic, the Head for the Industrial plants of the Agricultural Institute of RS, and Mirsad Veladzic, professor at the Biotechnical faculty at the University of Bihac.
Nozinic, among other things, presented farmers the possibilities of planting and processing of flax, whose oil and seeds are very effective in the human nutrition. It was also told at the conference that flax as a plant is very applicable in various segments of the industry.
Veladzic said that this university has installed presses for the processing of oilseeds and the production of cold-pressed oils.
Jovica Radisic, the flax manufacturer from Bosanski Petrovac, said that despite the suffered damage due to bad weather last year, he will plant the planned areas under the flax this year, in order to be able to offer the necessary quantities of oil and seeds of this plant to the market.
