Nun Ljubica Kovac from Posusje, known for her excellent knowledge of medicinal plants with which she treated people, passed away at the age of 84.

The news about her passing away was published by her colleagues on the Facebook page ”BILJE sestre Ljubice”.

”Dear ones, it is with sadness in our hearts and pain in our souls that we inform you that our nun has passed away. She lived for all of us and we will live on in her memory. A great woman, a great fighter, and a great heart and soul. A big farewell, pray for us, and keep us all under the protection of our Lord. We will inform you about the time and place of the funeral later,” the Facebook post states.

Nun Ljubica Kovac was born in 1939 in Posusje, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), where she grew up. She was one of her parents’ 11 children. She joined the Daughters of Divine Charity Monastery in 1956.
