Croatian football expert Igor Tudor will become the new coach of Rome’s Lazio, Italian media reported today.
According to Gazzeta Delo Sport and a Sky Sportstelevision report, Tudor reached an agreement with the president and owner of Lazio, Claudio Lotita, on Thursday evening.
He should sign a contract until June 2025, and the cooperation will be made official after Lazio’s match against Frosinone on Saturday in the 29th round of Serie A.
Tudor arrives in Lazio as a replacement for Mauricio Sarri, who resigned a few days ago.
Tudor played in Italy as a player, wearing the jerseys of Udinese, Juventus and Verona.
Lazio is ninth in the Italian championship with 35 points behind the leader Inter, and the round of 16 of the Champions League was eliminated by Bayern Munich.
