The General Secretariat of Interpol has rejected BiH’s request to issue an international arrest warrant for Milorad Dodik and Nenad Stevandić, Istraga.ba has learned.

The request was rejected based on Article 3 of the Interpol Statute, which prohibits political persecution.

As a reminder, the Court of BiH officially requested Interpol to issue an international warrant for the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the Speaker of the RS National Assembly Nenad Stevandić. These two politicians are suspected, together with the Prime Minister of RS Radovan Višković, of the criminal offense of attacking the constitutional order, and there is an order for their arrest for questioning, as well as a one-month detention order upon arrest.

Višković has not left the country, so a red warrant is not being sought for him.
