Parliamentary Military Commissioner Boško Šiljegović and top officials of the Armed Forces of BiH, Command of NATO Headquarters Sarajevo and EUFOR and representatives of the military-diplomatic corps accredited in BiH attended at Božan Simović barracks in Čapljina the departure ceremony of the first rotation of the members of AFBiH to the new mission of the coalition forces “Resolute Support “, from the 4th Infantry Brigade to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Deployment of the first rotation of the Infantry Unit of AFBiH in a peacekeeping mission was preceded by selection of candidates through that went through very demanding and comprehensive two-month training.
The largest part of the training was conducted at the training ground “Miralem Jugo“ in Livač and shooting range “Gorica” in Čapljina.
Commander of the 4th Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Tomo Kolenda and Deputy Chief of Joint Staff of the AFBiH for Operations, Major General Mirko Tepšić addressed the members of the Armed Forces.
The ceremony ended with presenting of the state flag to Unit Commander, Major Josip Brajković by Commander of AFBiH, Brigadier General Dragan Vuković, announced the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Defense.
