At the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and non-resident Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman and Yemen, and Permanent Representative of BiH to the OIC Muhamed Jusic met with Secretary-General of this organization Hussein Brahim Taha.
The officials talked about the ongoing situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and possible forms of cooperation between BiH and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and its members, especially in the field of sustainable development and economic cooperation.
In a statement issued by the Secretariat-General after the meeting, Secretary-General Taha reiterated the OIC’s continued support for Bosnia and Herzegovina, its stability, prosperity and preservation of territorial integrity and sovereignty within internationally recognized borders.
He also expressed the need to preserve the progress made in Bosnia and Herzegovina since the end of the war.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation is an international organization with a permanent delegation to the UN, which brings together 57 countries and Bosnia and Herzegovina has had observer status since 1994.
