ada3City Art Society “Filigran” from Zenica organized activities of cleaning and decorating of “Ada Jagnjišće” in the city center as the part of implementation of the project “Let’s go on the Jagnjišće”, which was followed by entertainment program and socializing of citizens.

This is the attempt of members of “Filigran” to bring the “Ada” close to the citizens again, since a number of summer entertainment and sports events used to be organized on this location before.

“The “Ada” was known for a long time, but it is almost forgotten now, especially after last year’s floods in May, when it suffered major damage. As part of the ecological program, we want to help and show that “Ada Jagnjišće” can be transformed into an actual summer recreation and entertainment center, and we would like to make gatherings on this place as tradition with special programs again. I want to thank everyone who responded to our invitation and joined the activity of cleaning “Jagnjišće”, because this is the place that, with a very small investments, city can turn into a real green oasis,” said the President of “Filigran,” Melih Karan.

He emphasized that this location used to be a real attraction where numerous parties were held.

“We wish to bring it back to life and we will try to organize one manifestation in the second half of September, maybe even under the old name ‘Singing Jagnjišće’, with which we want to bring the “Ada” back to life, the place where Zenica residents organize “Čimburijada” to celebrate the first day of spring,” said Karan.

After cleaning “Ada Jagnjišće,” members of “Filigran” organized an entertainment program with children’s dance group and a small folk orchestra followed by the socializing program, for a small group of citizens who took part in the action of cleaning.
