Olympic Committee of B&H preparing for Rio de Janeiro

Baku 2015 European Games - AthleticsThe Olympic Committee of B&H secured a total of 460,000 BAM through the application on projects for preparation of 13 scholarship recipients, who are candidates for the Olympic Games that will be held this summer in Rio de Janeiro.

This amount does not include the costs of departure, staying, return, the equipment, pocket money and other expenses for the athletes and their coaches at the Olympic Games, which can be measured in hundreds of thousands of BAM (one airplane ticket costs between 5 and 6 thousand BAM).

Scholarship recipients of the Olympic Solidarity of the IOC are: Larisa Ceric, Aleksandra Samardzic, Harun Sadikovic (judo), Amel Tuka, Hamza Alic, Kemal Mesic, Mesud Pezer, Lucija Kimani (athletics), Damir Dzumhur, Mirza Basic (tennis), Dzemal Bosnjak (box), Ivana Ninkovic (swimming) and Emina Hadziahmetovic (table tennis).

B&H at the moment has three participants at the Olympics for sure, and two are very close to “fulfillment of the conditions.” Sports public is expecting the most from the athlete Amel Tuka, who might win the first Olympic medal for our country.

A complete financial structure of going and residence in the Olympic Games in South America will cost delegation of OC B&H not less than 300,000 BAM.
