One of the largest Companies in BiH has One Employee and 761 Million BAM in Revenue

Last week, a report on the operations of companies in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) in 2022 was published, based on data submitted to the Financial and Information Agency of FBiH.

As it was already known, the company Bingo had the highest income. When it comes to other companies, it is mainly about companies that deal with the production or trade of energy (oil, electricity), or steel and aluminum.

It is mainly about large domestic economic giants.

It is interesting that the company GEN-I d.o.o. Sarajevo is among the Top 10 companies in FBiH according to total revenues in 2022. Last year, this company had revenues of 761.850.499 BAM, making it the 8th largest company in the FBiH.

However, what is specific is that this company has had one registered employee for years. For one employee, therefore, an income of as much as 761 million BAM has been achieved. In addition, a profit has been achieved, i.e. earnings of 591 thousand BAM.

This company deals in electricity trade. This type of activity explains the small number of employees, considering that they only need one person who will contract the purchase and sale of electricity.

The situation is similar with other companies engaged in this activity, which mostly have one or a few employees.

GEN-I is part of the GEN-I Group, one of the leading and fastest-growing groups for the trade and sale of electricity in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe. The owners of the company are from Slovenia.

This company has been successfully operating in BiH for years. The year before, it had revenues of 431 million BAM. The sharp increase in revenues last year can be explained by the large increase in electricity prices on the international market. The company apparently bought and sold electricity at much higher prices, in line with market trends, Biznis Info reports.
