The Prime Minister of B&H Nermin Nikšić sent an open letter to the B&H Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić, President of SBB B&H and the former owner of TV ‘Alfa’ and ‘Dnevni Avaz’. The letter states:
YOU CALMLY WATCHED WHILE HOOLIGANS BURNED THE B&H PRESIDENCY
1.The claim of the B&H Minister of Security that the Ministry does not have jurisdiction to act in a situation when the B&H Presidency building, the government of Canton Sarajevo building, municipality of Sarajevo building, buildings of the Tuzla, Zenica-Doboj and Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and other public and private buildings are burning, when the life of hundreds of members of police forces, thousands of citizens, is undignified and politically irresponsible and goes against the state. I remind Minister Radončić that the Ministry of Security, according to Article 14 of the Law on Ministries and other Administrative Bodies of B&H in charge of the ‘Organization and harmonization of the entity ministries of the interior and Brčko District of B&H in achieving security tasks in the interest of B&H’’. Minister of Security, why then did you not organize and manage the coordination of the work of the ministries of interiors and law enforcement agencies to protect B&H institutions, because these misdeeds under the paragraph of the B&H Prosecution qualified as a crime of terrorism and an attack on these institutions (B&H Presidency, B&H Constitutional Court and the B&H Archives)?! Therefore, either do your job or resign.
YOUR PARTY IS AGAINST AMENDMENTS TO THE FB&H CONSTITUTION THAT WOULD ALLOW PROSECUTION OF CRIME OF WAR PRIVATIZATION
2.The statement of the President of SBB Fahrudin Radončić that his party offered a proposal to the law on annulment of war privatization that the FB&H government did not want to consider is inaccurate, because the FB&H government gave an opinion that the proposed law is unconstitutional because the statute of limitations has expired for the criminal offenses that should be addressed under this law. For this reason, the FB&H Ministry of Justice prepared amendments to the FB&H Constitution that would eliminate this problem, but lo and behold, in discussions with representatives of your party in the FB&H Parliament in the last period, we did not receive support for its adoption. Do not worry, President of SBB. At the next session of the FB&H government these amendments to the FB&H Constitution will be determined and addressed in the parliamentary procedure, so together we will have the chance to see who supports and who does not support the prosecution of the privatization of robbery and other crimes committed during the war and the period immediately after the war. SDP B&H and I will certainly support it, and you and your party should carefully consider whether you would change your mind now.
3.THIS FB&H GOVERNMENT HAS ACTIVELY SOLVED THE PROBLEMS OF WORKERS, AND THEIR SUPPORTS IS TESTAMENT TO THIS
Your claims about the gathering of workers in front of the FB&H government ‘‘that the FB&H government did not notice’’ are a complete lie. There is no trade union or any other group that protested in front of the FB&H government and with whom I or my colleagues or ministers did not speak. All media that follows the work of the FB&H government know you well, and among them are reporters from ‘Dnevni Avaz’ and TV ‘Alfa’, who regularly informed the public about that, so I suggest you to check with them. You see, this is where you and I differ. You might know something about the cheated workers and the destroyed companies from the articles by ‘Dnevni Avaz’, which you obviously do not read on a regular basis, but I am in daily contact with these people for nearly three years already and I am trying to find a solution for their problems, which are well known to me. Therefore, I suggest to you to not use these people and their problems for your own promotion because you underestimate and insult them with this. I will continue to fight to solve their problems. I am obliged to this through my responsibility towards citizens and my current function. I am obligated through the public support of the Union of Miners of ‘Krivaje’, Coordination of Veterans Associations, Association of Farmers and Association of Pensioners. You can keep reading and eventually write articles on their problems, if you are not ready to listen and solve them.
4.WE ARE BUILDING B&H WHILE YOU ARE DESTROYING IT
You said that B&H is a world record holder in lack of investments. Of course, this is incorrect, because in the last two years 1,2 billion BAM have been invested in the building of highways in the FB&H. Very soon we will begin with the opening of the newly-built kilometers of highway, and I call on you to come to the opening as chairman of the SBB, Ministry of Security or former owner of ‘Dnevni Avaz’ or TV ‘Alfa’ to bear witness to it.
5.YOU REJECTED THE PROPOSAL TO THE ANTI-CORRUPTION NBILL IN PARLIAMENT-WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?
You say that my government ‘’did not do anything in the fight against corruption and organized crime’’. Mr. Radončić, you are lying once again. I remind you that it was your party in the FB&H Parliament that was the biggest proponent of overthrowing the draft law on the suppression of corruption and organized crime and the proposal to the law on confiscation of illegally acquired property without having offered at least one specific amendment to these laws. These laws were a response to the demands that were sent to all of us in the last few days by citizens who are seeking justice. This is why I will do everything that I know to bring them back soon in Parliament, so we will see whether you and your party will change your opinion regarding this, so instead of the protector of corruption, which your acts entail, you will become a fighters against corruption, as you have been unsuccessfully trying to represent.
WHY ARE YOU AGAINST PENALIZING UNREGISTERED EMPLOYMENT AND THE PROTECTION OF WORKERS?
6.You say that the FB&H government did not do anything to protect the rights of workers in the FB&H. You have been caught in a lie once again. Your party has broken the law three times on the Law on Misdemeanors Offenses that provides for draconian penalties for the exploitation of workers. Explain to the public whether you will change your mind the fourth time, because this law will certainly be proposed to the FB&H Parliament soon, including to representatives of your party.
LET YOUR MEDIA PUBLISH THE LIST OF PRIVATIZATIONS THAT HAVE TO BE PROSECUTED-I WILL SIGN IT WITHOUT READING
7.In the end, Minister of Security, President of SBB and former owner of ‘Dnevni Avaz’ and TV ‘Alfa’, I publicly call on you to make a list of the privatization robbery or any other criminal acts that in your opinion should be prosecuted by the B&H Prosecutor’s Office. I publicly claim that I will sign the list without reading it and together with you; we will take it to any police or prosecutor’s office in B&H. I just ask you to allow me to put on that list the privatization bankruptcy tsunami that wiped out the former great company ‘Alhos’ Sarajevo from the face of the earth, as well as to put on that list the privatized graphic publishing house ‘OKO’. Only to have that checked too. Since you claim that you are a ruthless fighter against corruption, I believe that we will quickly give this list over to the authorities. I have given my proposals, and I repeat that I will sign all of yours without reading it.
