Minister for Physical Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology of Republika Srpska Srebrenka Golić is satisfied with the dynamics of construction works on the south wing of University Clinical Center RS whose opening is scheduled for early 2016.
“In late December or in the first half of January, the technical acceptance might be finished and occupancy permit might be issued for the south wing, after which it will be put into operation”, Golić said after visiting the construction site with the Minister of Health and Social Protection of RS Dragan Bogdanić.
The new wing covers an area of 12,000 square meters, of which 6,000 square meters will be the surface area of the south wing while the central hallway that connects the north and south wing covers another 6,000 square meters.
On this occasion, Bogdanić highlighted that putting the south wing into operation will enable large number of medical examinations and procedures in a space created in accordance with the European standards for polyclinics with the use of sophisticated equipment, such as digital mammography machine, catheterization laboratory for interventional cardiology with intravascular diagnosis and catheterization laboratory for invasive cardiology.
Furthermore, Bogdanić stated that the construction of the south wing and its equipping are funded from the project realized in cooperation with Korea Eximbank, whose value amounts to $30 million.
