On the day which is celebrated as the Europe Day and Day of overcome of fascism, on Friday 9th May, Vijećnica in Sarajevo will be opened again.
Ceremony of opening of this worldwide significant symbol of the meeting of civilizations will start at 17:30, with the first official reception of the Sarajevo mayor Ivo Komšić.
Komšić will, in gratitude, award the friends who helped, and who supported materially and renewed Vijecnica in the last 18 years.
After this, on the open stage across this beautiful building, Sarajevo philharmonic will have a concert, which will start at 19:00 o’clock. The concert will last for two hours and 200 artists from Sarajevo and Bosnia-Herzegovina will participate
More details regarding the Vijecnica opening program will be announced on the press conference on Thursday, 8th May, in the City administration.
