International Una Regatta, the 46thedition, will start on Wednesday, July 25, and all preparations are completed. Participants are expecting great fun and adventures through participation in the largest tourist brand of Bosnian Krajina.
This year’s Una regatta will take place in the period from July 25 to 28, on its traditional route from Martin Brod to Bosanska Krupa.
“On the first day, July 25, gathering of participants will start in the camp Lucica in Martin Brod, and regatta will be officially opened there as well. Day after, on Thursday, July 26, the first section of the regatta from Martin Brod through Kulen Vakuf to Strbacki buk will take place and the participants will stay there overnight. On Friday, July 27, the participants will enjoy the most interesting section from Strbacki buk, through Ripce to Bihac. The participants will spend the night in the camp on Gradska otoka. On the last day, July 28, the final stage from Bihac to Bosanska Krupa will take place. Of course, this section is not less attractive than the first and the second one, and it is maybe even more beautiful when it comes to recreation of all the participants of the regatta,” said Amarildo Mulic, the director of the National park “Una”.
The international tourist Una regatta is a great event, recognized both in the region and beyond, and it guarantees great entertainment and a lot of adrenaline. Besides the adventurous and touristic part, the regatta also offers numerous cultural and entertaining contents.
The National park Una has been organizing Una regatta for the last five years and, together with sponsors, they prepared a rich cultural and entertainment program for all participants again this year.
When it comes to the number of participants, Mulic stated that they do not know how many participants there will be until the very beginning of the regatta.
“We are receiving registrations until very start, especially those who have their own boats. However, according to some estimates, we are expecting 400-500 participants on the first section, around 800 participants on the second section and about 400 participants on the third section.”
At the end, he noted that the project of Una regatta also represents commercial story.
“We believe that this is an investment in the promotion of Una River, the National park and the overall tourist offer of Una-Sana Canton. We are creating great atmosphere and benefit for everyone directly participating in the sale of goods and services,” noted Mulic.
