On the occasion of the world day of social work, the OSCE Mission to BiH is organizing tomorrow in Sarajevo a roundtable on the topic of ‘Promoting Social and Economic Equality’.
For this occasion, the OSCE Mission wishes to show the importance of activities performed by social workers in order to secure social rights for the most vulnerable people in society. Equity in access to economic and social rights is one of the most important international principles of human rights, and the contribution of social workers in this is crucial.
It is expected that representatives of cantonal associations of social workers, Association of Professional workers and social and children protection of the RS will participate. This will be an opportunity to discuss mutual cooperation.
The roundtable will be held on the premises of the OSCE Mission and statements to the media are planned for 10:00.
