The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina left a great impression following the 2026 World Cup opener as confirmed by the individual assessment of players.

According to the data of the famous WhoScored platform, three Bosnia and Herzegovina national team players are among the ten highest-rated tournament players after the opening group matches.

Nikola Katić is the highest-ranked footballer among the Dragons. With a rating of 8.88, he is currently the best-ranked player at the World Cup. His solid defense play and great performance against Canada earned him the top spot on the list.

Tarik Muharemović is sitting just behind him among the elite performers. With a rating of 8.07 for his performance, he is ranked seventh on the list.  This was a debut World Cup performance for the young defender, and he has already caught the eye of the football world after just one match.

Among the world’s top ten best players is Jovo Lukić, who scored for Bosnia and Herzegovina against Canada. The Dragons’ forward earned an 8.00 rating, putting him in a share of eighth place.

Among the tournament’s top ten highest-rated players are also Julián Quiñones and Roberto Alvarado from Mexico, Hwang In-Beom and Lee Kang-In from South Korea, and the US national team players Folarin Balogun and Christian Pulisic. The inclusion of the three Bosnia and Herzegovina internationals further confirms that the Dragons put on a great performance against Canada and can optimistically look forward to the rest of the competition.

Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Cup opener earned an important point against co-hosts Canada in a 1:1 draw in Toronto.  Sergej Barbarez’s squad will face their next challenge on June 18 in Los Angeles, where they will take on Switzerland.
