Over 120 Thousand Tourists visited Federation of BiH in October!

The total number of tourist arrivals in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in October 2023 was 120,316, which is 21.4 percent more compared to October last year, and compared to September 2023, it is 14.3 percent less. The share of domestic tourists in the total number of arrivals was 27 percent, and foreign tourists 73 percent.

The total number of overnight stays by tourists in October 2023 was 223,305, which is 17.7 percent more compared to October 2022, and compared to September 2023, it is 18 percent less. The share of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays was 25.7 percent, and foreign tourists 74.3 percent.

According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was realized within the category Hotels and similar accommodation with a participation of 96.4 percent, according to the data of the Federal Bureau of Statistics.

In the structure of overnight stays by foreign tourists, the most overnight stays in October were made by tourists from: Croatia (12.2 percent), Turkey (10.5 percent), Slovenia (8.3 percent), Germany (5.9 percent) and the United States of America ( 5.5 percent) which is a total of 42.4 percent. Tourists from other countries accounted for 57.6 percent of overnight stays.

The number of available beds in October 2023 in FBiH was 29,489, which is 0.4 percent more than in October 2022. The net occupancy rate for hotels and similar accommodation in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was 27.1 percent.

In the Republic of Srpska, according to the data of the entity’s Statistical Office, in October, 44,217 tourists stayed, who spent 101,133 nights. Last month, 12,027 permanent beds were available to tourists in RS, Fena reports.
