Over One Hundred Thousand Passengers used Train in BiH in Three Months

A total of 100,764 passengers were transported in rail passenger transport in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period July-September 2023 and 9,307,012 passenger kilometers were traveled, which compared to the same period in 2022 is 4.5 percent more of transported passengers, and passenger kilometers are higher by 20.9 percent.

Of this, in domestic passenger transport, the number of transported passengers is higher by 4.5 percent, and the passenger kilometers traveled are higher by 20.9 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

In rail freight transport in the third quarter of 2023, 1,858,072 tons of goods were transported, and 227,245,319 ton kilometers were traveled, which compared to the same period in 2022 is 8.9 percent less tons of goods transported and 5 more, 1 percent tonne kilometers.

Out of that, 0.2 percent less tons of goods were transported in internal freight transport, and the realized ton kilometers were 13.2 percent higher compared to the same period in 2022.

In international freight transport, 33.1 percent less tons of goods were transported, and 24.3 percent fewer ton kilometers achieved compared to the same period in 2022, according to data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics.
