A Palestinian baby was killed, and several displaced women were injured in an Israeli drone strike on Monday in the city of Khan Younis in the western Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
“The eight-month-old baby lost her life when the drone shelled refugee tents in the Asdaa area west of Khan Younis,” the source said.
The attack occurred a day after the Israeli military expanded its ground offensive into Khan Younis, reaching the Hamad area in the western part of the city.
The death toll of Palestinians from Israeli military attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7th, 2023, has risen to 40.139, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
