13023485_1759138667656143_1439233111_nThe final stages of preparation for this year’s summer season are currently taking place at the complex of Pannonian salt lakes in Tuzla.

After completing the overhaul of all facilities, the process of filling the third lake with technological water was done yesterday, and the first swimmers, if weather conditions permit, could take a swim in “Tuzla sea” in early May.

“The complex is now going through the usual technological process, and after we fill the third lake, we will start with filtration of the water. If the weather allows us, we will start with commercial work on the third lake after the Labour Day holidays. During the month of May, we will fill up the other two lakes as well, which will be ready for the official opening of the season on the 1st of June, “said Director of PUC Pannonica Tuzla, Maid Porobic.

“The maximum care of the safety and health of swimmers will keep supporting services that gather around 150 people every day. The system of supervision and care is particularly important to us during the large visits of guests”, added Porobic.

“Last year we achieved a record visit of 450,000 guests during the summer season, and this year we expect that number to exceed half a million, if the weather conditions serve us well,” said Porobic.

“Our infrastructure facilities have been finalized with the construction of the third lake, but in the upcoming season we will do our best to offer to guests new facilities in the form of new restaurants, a lot of sports activities, recreation and great fun,” stated Porobic.

Tuzla salt lakes, which was visited by almost 3 million guests since its foundation, are located in the city center, only a few hundred meters away from the main square.
