Participants of Sarajevo Peace March End Their Walking March Tomorrow in Potočari

peace march 2Participants of Peace March “Sarajevo-Nezuk-Potočari” are approaching Potočari, said for Agency Fena, the organizer Muhamed Papić.

The column of 34 participants that departed from Sarajevo to Nezuk, yesterday joined the traditional Peace March “Nezuk -Potočari”, in which participate around 5.000 people.

“The organization is great this year and nothing is missing. Tonight, we will sleep over in Mravinjac in military tents and tomorrow we will finish our 8 day march”, said Papić.

People from Podrinja, who survived genocide are in the head of the column.

Participants of peace march “Sarajevo -Nezuk -Srebrenica” departed on 3 July from Sarajevo in a 8 day journey, more than 240 kilometers long in memory of Srebrenica people, who in July 1995 departed in a long journey of more than 100 kilometers to find refuge in Tuzla.

Participants of “Peace march”, about 5.000 of them will attend on 11 July in Potočari, the funeral of 175 victims of genocide.

The burial of 600 identified victims of the genocide of 1995 is done in the Memorial Center Potočari, 11 years ago.

During 11 year in this memorial are buried 6.066 identified remains of Srebrenica victims.
