Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of FB&H, based on the constitutional jurisdiction and the international obligations of B&H and FB&H, will act in the form of reforms in the areas of social and disability protection, pension and disability insurance and the labor market this year, according to Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of FB&H Vesko Drljaca.
Related to social protection, they are working on the adoption of a new set of laws, from which the Minister emphasized laws on social protection, protection of families with children, then the social services and the law on the activities of social work.
“The priority in the field of disability is the adoption of the “Strategy in the field of disability 2016-2020,” which will be based on the Disability Strategy of the Council of Europe 2016-2020. A new law on pension and disability insurance needs to adopt a new method of calculating the pension base through a scoring system, and regular and transparent pension adjustment instead of the current coefficient system,” said minister Drljaca.
At the same time, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of the FB&H is working on significant activities on development of policy for protection of families with children, where they made the analysis of fiscal, economic and social impacts of possible options in this field.
“Projects in which the Ministry had a key role, such as the Youth Employment Project and the development of a strategy for young people in the FB&H and other projects that are promoting stronger connection between education and the labor market, are successfully completed,” concluded the Federal Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Labor and Social policy Vesko Drljaca.
