At the session of the Independent Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Parliament, a ranking list of candidates for the new Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) was drawn up.

The current director of this agency, Perica Stanic, received the most points on the list, deputy chairman of the Independent Committee Enes Obralija, confirmed to the media.

Stanic received 96.25 points out of the maximum 100.

The second-ranked is Darko Culum, and the third is Zarko Laketa, while Goran Zubac is not on the list of successful candidates, Avaz news portal reports.

Under the established procedure, the Independent Committee will submit the ranking list to the Minister of Security of BiH, Dragan Mektic, who, according to the procedures prescribed by law, submits it to the Council of Ministers of BiH, which appoints a new director of this police agency.

Although his term expires on Tuesday, Stanic will remain in charge of SIPA until the BiH Council of Ministers finishes the procedure, that is, until he is dismissed from office and new director is appointed.
