Play ‘It Was a Beautiful Sunny Day’ on Tuesday in Sarajevo

bio jeOn 4 June, citizens of Sarajevo will have the opportunity to see a rerun of the play ‘It was a beautiful sunny day’ (Bio je lijep i sunčan dan). The play will be shown in Multimedia Centre of Novo Sarajevo Municipality at 8 p.m.

The play is directed by Tanja Miletić-Oručević

‘It was a beautiful sunny day’ is a documentary play based on the recollections of memories of 78 citizens of Sarajevo on the same date of the 2nd May, 1992. The drama was inspired by the book called ‘2nd May- It was a beautiful sunny day’, that was published for the first time in 2008.The book is actually a collection of stories, inscriptions and photos that were inspired by just one day of the siege, that is considered as the first day of the 1395 days of the Sarajevo siege.

The roles in this play are played by Sonja Goronja, Mirela Lambić, Ana Mia Milić, Maja Salkić, Amila Terzimehić, Benjamin Bajramović, Adnan Kreso, Sead Pandur and Jasenko Pašić
