The Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska Radovan Višković spoke today in Banja Luka with the delegation of the Association of Retirees of the RS, Ratko Trifunović, and the director of the PIO Fund, Mladen Milić.

During the meeting, the government’s support measures for improving the position of the oldest population were discussed, and it was pointed out that the government, depending on the budget possibilities, will continue to work on improving the position of pensioners, after pensions have been increased by 27.5 percent in the last year, it was announced from the Government of Republika Srpska.

Višković emphasizes that improving the position of pensioners remains one of the priorities, stressing that, in cooperation and coordination with the Association of Pensioners, from 2018 to today, their material position has significantly improved, as indicated by the fact that in that period pensions were increased by close to 50 percent.

The President of the Association of Pensioners, Ratko Trifunović, pointed out that they are satisfied with the attitude of the Government towards the oldest population and the dynamics of increasing allocations for pensioners, and reminded that pensions were last increased at the beginning of this year, by 13.5 percent, they stated in the statement.
