Pogba and Juventus mutually terminated the Contract

Paul Pogba will no longer be a Juventus player from next month after the Turin club announced they had reached an agreement to terminate his contract, despite the Frenchman having his doping ban reduced last month.

The Italian club have not seemed overly enthusiastic about Pogba’s return after his four-year doping ban was reduced to 18 months on appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Pogba, who will be eligible to resume his career in March 2025, has said he is willing to forgo money to play for Juventus again.

“Juventus Football Club and Paul Pogba announce that they have reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract with effect from 30 November 2024,” the club said in a statement.

Pogba tested positive for testosterone in August last year and the Italian anti-doping court handed down the maximum penalty to the Juventus midfielder.

CAS lifted the ban after admitting a lack of intent and saying his positive test was the result of taking the wrong supplement prescribed by a doctor in Florida.

Pogba’s contract with Juventus expires in June 2026.

“My time at Juventus has come to an end. It has been a privilege to wear the Bianconeri shirt and share so many special memories together,” Pogba said, thanking the fans for their support, AA writes.
