Police arrested a Person suspected of Murder of Swedish Citizen in Sarajevo

One person suspected of the murder of Swedish citizen Haris Osterdahl was arrested in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Stup.

According to unofficial information, a Swedish citizen was also arrested, and he was arrested in the area of Sokolac, and members of the East Sarajevo Police Department handed him over to colleagues from the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton.

The second suspected attacker is still being intensively searched for.

The man who was killed in Sarajevo on Tuesday is Swedish citizen Harris Österdahl, who is known for numerous criminal acts, and their media reports that he is also the leader of a drug network.

This Swedish citizen is most likely 30 years old, according to Swedish police. Together with his brother Dennis, he deals in selling narcotics, for which they were convicted

Swedish media report that Harris Österdahl is the leader of the ‘Vinsta-nätverket’ and that he was last sentenced five years ago to a prison sentence of four years for organizing a drug ring.

In addition, together with his brother, he was also convicted of offenses related to the use of weapons, bribery, doping, illegal driving, and the use of Facebook for drug sales and home delivery.

The shooting happened around 16:30 this evening in the Bulevar neighborhood, where two men on a bicycle fired a burst at a Swedish citizen. BH citizen was also injured.

The attackers had a backpack in which the casings were collected, and they quickly fled the scene of the shooting.

Osterdahl has been convicted of various crimes in the past. He was convicted in 2017 for running a criminal drug ring. He was sentenced to four years in prison for bribery, illegal driving, serious drug offences, weapons offences, doping and violation of the Arms Act. He denied these allegations.
