The police in Bratunac have identified three minors from that municipality who are suspected of inflicting serious bodily injuries on a young man, Osman Mehanović.

Juveniles are being linked to the crime of grievous bodily harm, the Zvornik Police Department announced.

“At the Bratunac Police Station on Friday, June 23, at 10:55 p.m., a person whose initials are O.M. from Bratunac reported that he was physically attacked by three persons and that he was seriously injured,” the Zvornik Police Department announced.

The duty prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Bijeljina was informed about everything, under whose supervision measures and actions are taken.

On Friday evening, around 11:00 p.m., Osman Mehanović from Bratunac was physically attacked by three persons in the parking lot in Bratunac, in which he suffered serious physical injuries.

The attack was preceded by numerous swear words on a national basis with references to Kravica and the similar.

“I was sitting with my friends in the closed garden of the Galija catering facility, at 10:40 pm I left the same facility and went to get the car that was parked in the parking lot behind the Cipovka bakery. Crossing Vidovdanska Street, I saw several people sitting in front of the Cipovka bakery. After crossing the street I enter the part of the city next to the Cipovka bakery, which is totally dark. I hear a man throwing something, but I don’t pay attention, thinking he’s not talking to me. At that moment, several men approach me and ask me something that I didn’t understand well, at that moment I answer with “what” while a male person pushes me over the wall next to me.”

At that moment, another male person throws at me “what the hell do you know who Kravica is” and continues throwing various disgusting nationally insulting sentences like “you want us to slaughter you like we slaughtered you in Srebrenica”, testified Mehanović.

“While all this is happening, I get up shocked from the ground, a male person pushes me again, I get up again and receive a couple of hard blows to the head where my tooth is knocked out, raising my hand in self-defense, a male person inflicts a cut on the upper part of my left hand , at that moment I fall to the ground from a strong blow and hear a female person saying “Hello, what are you doing, boy!” at that moment, the attackers move away from the scene and that woman comes to me, and helps me cross the street and go to the police station.”
