Police officers of the Criminal Police Sector and the Police Support Sector of the Police Administration of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton implemented the operational action “Fenix” with the aim of documenting and clarifying the criminal offense of Unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs.
Based on the order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, police officers searched several residential buildings in the municipality of Novo Sarajevo, during which the following was found and confiscated: a white substance that, by its characteristics, is associated with the narcotic drug amphetamine sulfate – speed, with a total weight of approximately eight kilograms; several PVC packages with dry herbaceous matter, whose characteristics are associated with the intoxicating drug marijuana, with a total weight of four kilograms; two complete “indoor” laboratories for the illegal production of the intoxicating drug marijuana, with a total of 102 stems of the cannabis plant (approx. 11 kilograms); one PVC bag with a white substance that is associated with the narcotic drug cocaine, approx. 200 grams; two rifles; two optical sights; one pistol; 43 pieces of ammunition; a certain amount of cash in EUR and BAM currency; professional tool for “combing” locks; other tools and items of interest to the procedure.
A 39-year-old man, E.Dž, was deprived of his liberty. from Sarajevo due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of Unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs (Article 238, paragraph 1 of the FBiH CC), Unauthorized possession of weapons or explosive substances (Article 371, paragraph 1 of the FBiH CC) and the criminal offense from Article 74 of ZONDINOM of Sarajevo Canton.
