Pomozi.ba Aid Campaign klix.baThe Association “Pomozi.ba” from Sarajevo and WAHA International from Paris, in cooperation with Bima doctors’ association from Sarajevo, Foundation Ana and Vlade Divac from Belgrade and the Association Sacuvajmo bebe from Belgrade, on Saturday organized a campaign of providing medical help and distribution of humanitarian packages for the refugees from Middle Eastern countries.

Medical staff, doctors, nurses and activists from Sarajevo, 50 of them, met with the organizers and activists from Paris and Belgrade at 5 a.m. After a brief meeting at the hotel, they headed towards their destinations split into teams. Pomozi.ba, together with friendly organizations, was present at six locations – border crossings, including Presevo, Opatovac, Tabanovac, Sid, Beremend, and Dimitrovgrad.

During that day, 1000 patients were examined and animations were organized at three checkpoints – clowns, magicians, and the toys were given to the youngest. At the same time, around 2.000 basic hygiene packages were distributed, as well as napkins, diapers, 1.570 raincoats, cookies, protein bars, juices and water. After the campaign which lasted all day (24h), all participants met again at the hotel in Belgrade in late evening hours in order to sum up the impressions and exchange information.

“Given the fact that this is an exceptionally demanding project where it was necessary to coordinate everything to the tiniest detail because there were six locations, we are extremely satisfied with the job done. Thereby, on this occasion we would like to thank our friends from the American organization “NudaySyria” that provided means for the purchase of medicines and sanitary material”, the Association Pomozi.ba stated.
