The fifth international children handball and football tournament and educational meeting on health – Youth Movement Power was held at the end of March in Croatia, and it gathered almost 3 000 participants in four days of competition that took place in Rovinj, Porec and Pula. Children from a total of 120 children football and handball teams from the host country Croatia, then Austria, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Slovenia and BiH took part in this competition. The only representative of our country was the School of Football “Respekt”.
“You simply must experience Respekt, the enthusiasm cannot be expressed with words. Children without difference and discrimination on the same terrain, together with their peers. This is a miracle. Until we came here, until we saw all of this, we could not believe that this actually exists, that all children work perfectly in the field together,” said the organizers of the tournament “Croatia Trophy”.
“We are telling the story of Respekt to the entire world since 2014. And we live it, with our whole heart and soul. But when you show it to someone else, when they experience it and react in a way that friends from all the countries reacted on this tournament, then we are truly aware and proud on everything that we are. There is a lot of emotions here, and the most important ones are those among children. And they were really fascinating for the people here,” stated Emir Hujdur, the founder and director of the School of Football Respekt.
