Positive Business Trends: BH Economy finally recovers!

exportBiH economy is finally recovering, which is showed by the total income realized in BiH, which reached a record figure of 59.24 billion BAM in 2015, which is by 3.82 % more than in 2014 and by 5.34 % more in comparison to 2013.

Almost two-thirds of revenues or a total of 41.33 billion BAM (70 %) was realized in the FBiH and 17, 91 billion BAM (30 %) in Republika Srpska, according to the latest research conducted by the company LRC (LRCBIS) from Sarajevo, as reported by Poslovne novine.

In fact, the total income in BiH got linearly increased in the last 3 years, which amounted to 56.24 billion BAM in 2013, 57.06 billion BAM in 2014, and 59.24 billion BAM in 2015.

The increase in total revenues in BiH, as expected, was followed by an increase in the number of companies, whose number in 2015 was increased to 30,846, which is by 4.11 % more than in 2014, when there were 29,627 companies. Out of these, the largest number of companies is placed in the FBiH, even 21,271 (69 %), while in the RS are 9,575 companies (31 %), and these are the companies that have submitted reports on financial operations for the year of 2015.

Among the ten leading BiH companies in the category “Top income in 2015,” is 8 companies from the FBiH, while two of them are from the RS. In the first place is P.E. “Elektroprivreda BiH” Ltd. Sarajevo with the income of 954 539 111 BAM, then “Holdina” Ltd. from Sarajevo with 852,452,367 BAM, then “Konzum” Ltd. Sarajevo with 849 962 319 BAM, “Bingo” Ltd. Tuzla with the income of 803 433 657 BAM, “Optima Grupa” Ltd. from Banja Luka with 754 993 923 BAM, “ArcelorMittal” Ltd. Zenica with 628 421 143 BAM, “BH Telecom” Ltd. Sarajevo with 534 734 174 BAM, “Petrol BH Oil Company” Ltd. Sarajevo with 469 276 603 BAM, “Telekomunikacije RS” Ltd. Banja Luka with 464,098,707 BAM and “Aluminij” Ltd. Mostar with 444,166,240 BAM.

The biggest surprise among these 10 leading BiH companies in the category “BiH top revenue in 2015.” Is definitely “Bingo” Ltd Tuzla, which achieved the incredible increase in revenue by 42.69 % in comparison to 2014, and it is followed by “Konzum” Ltd. Sarajevo with 22.14 %.

The biggest increase in income in the category of “top companies” also made the company “Bingo” Ltd. Tuzla (Business Unit Prijedor) in the amount of 120,257,957 BAM (70, 41 %). Then follows “Neskovic” from Bijeljina with 136,701,779 BAM (43.90 %), “Bingo” Ltd Tuzla with 803 433 657 BAM (42.69 %), “Elektroprijenos BIH AD” with 145,264,779 BAM (29.61 %), “Phoenix Pharma” from Bijeljina with 199,414,409 BAM (24.48 %), “Alumina” with 221,288. 408 BAM (24.37 %), “Konzum” Ltd. Sarajevo with 849,962,319 BAM (22.14 %), “Nelt” from East Sarajevo with 201 263 214 BAM (18, 32 %), “Swisslion” from Trebinje with 103,081,625 BAM (15.68 %) and “Philip Morris BH” from Sarajevo with 284,251,602 BAM (15.53 %).
