Postal Traffic between B&H and Hong Kong finally normalized

On March 31st this year, postal traffic that was incoming from Hong Kong to B&H was fully suspended.

By mid-May, postal items began to arrive in B&H. As of three days ago, the Post Office of Hong Kong stated that the complete normalization of postal traffic between Hong Kong and B&H has been restored.

Apart from B&H, mail coming from Hong Kong has also been suspended from reaching Yemen, Syria, North Korea, Liberia, Crimea, Lebanon, Somalia, and Ukraine, as well as the city of Sevastopol. Most of the countries on this list are areas where current armed conflicts are taking place, so it is not clear as to why B&H was placed on the list.

BH Post said that it is very important to pay close attention to users of postal services who purchase their products via the Internet, due to the fact that there is still a ban for products that are considered dangerous for transportation via air traffic. Most of these banned substances include liquids, lithium batteries, and all other products that would contain both or one of the mentioned substances.

Considering that the DGR (Dangerous Goods Regulations) has established very strict procedures for security checks of shipment contents, packages that are marked as dangerous can either be retained by authorities, refused to be accepted into the country, or can be returned back to the sender.
