The event “Days of Potato – Ljubuski Early” was held on Thursday in Ljubuski, and it is aimed at presenting a high quality, unique, autochthonous product.
The Director of GIZ for BiH and Montenegro, Brigitte Heuel-Rolf, opened this year’s event, and she noted that the main aim of the project EU ProLocal is the support to competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in economic growth and development.
She noted that this project is specific because it represents a combination of financial and technical support, or providing advice to those structures that are dealing with providing services for economic – business development.
“It was important for us to brand the packaging that will indicate the high quality of the product in order to make that product as attractive to the market as possible,” she stated.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Ljubuski, Nevenko Barbaric, praised this project and noted that potato from Ljubuski became one of the recognizable brands of this municipality, both in the market of BiH and beyond.
Besides the quality, potato from Ljubuski will differ from imported potatoes on the market by unique packaging as well, as stated by Vukojevic.
