The Director for the BiH Statistics Agency Zdenko Milinović said today in Sarajevo that preparations for the census is going according to plan and that this could be conducted in October. He said that the draft plan of activities drawn up specifies the terms and institutions responsible for the implementation of activities.

“It analyzes the methodological documents. The cartographic base in the FBiH is now finished, and in the RS that job should be finished until the end of the month’’, said Milinović at a conference for journalists.

According to him, in the next 10-15 days the questionnaire should be finished, and during the next month a tender would be offered for its publications.

Milinović states that the entity would have to provide the final number of census districts and number of households, as well as the number of required questionnaires in official languages per municipality, in order for there to be an international tender.

He said that the diaspora questionnaire is legally regulated and all those who have been outside of BiH more than 12 months can find the questionnaires on the websites. They can print them, fill them out and send them to the Agency.

“There is a law in effect that sets the questions for the diaspora”, said Milinović.
