There will be a presentation tomorrow in Sarajevo of a project financed by the European Union within the framework of the program Partnership for Civil Society “Support to Regional Thematic Networks”.
The project of technical help to civil society organizations (TACSO) in BiH, in cooperation with the EU Delegation to BiH is organizing this presentation with the goal to raise public awareness with projects of regional thematic networks from the perspective of civil society organizations in BiH that are implementing projects. The goal is also to present technical help that the TACSO project provides to multiuser projects of civil society organizations.
As part of the program in BiH, 18 projects lasting for 48 months have been selected. They will deal with various themes such as advocating for the implementation of laws and policies for people with special needs, ensuring the quality of social services, strengthening the advocacy potential of civil society organizations in the field of public policy, protection of women and prevention of gender-based violence, anti-corruption, socio-economic rural development, efficient mechanisms of public procurement, sustainable sources of energy policy and the reform of public administration.
The presentation of the project will be held in the EU Delegation to BiH building starting at 11:00.
The EU Delegation to BiH announced that at the beginning of the presentation representatives of the EU Delegation and TACSO BiH will address the participants.
The EU is financing the regional project TACSO (Technical Support to Civil Society Organizations).
The project is being implemented from August 2009 to August 2013 in Western Balkan states and in Turkey.
The goal of the project is to increase capacity of civil society organizations in order to enhance and strengthen their role in the democratic process.
