The International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) will hold the second phase of the Outreach Program on Tuesday, 5th February in the Second Gymnasium in Sarajevo. There will be presentations on the achievements of the International Court and its contribution in connection with war crimes that began in the former Yugoslavia.

This will be marked by a second series of guest speakers that will during this school year be held in high schools and universities throughout the former Yugoslavia.

The goal of the presentation is to encourage critical thinking in young people on themes of transitional justice, which will affect the region for more years.

The first phase of the Outreach Program of the International Court is designed for young people, which include more than 2,000 high school students and 1,500 students from BiH, Croatia, Serbia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosovo.

The second phase of the project, which will begin in BiH, will rely on previous positive experiences and learned lessons, and concentrate on the existing needs that would be identified in the first set of the presentation in order to intensity its influence.

The Outreach Program enjoys the continued support of the European Union, and the government of Finland finances its work with young people.
