Presidency of BiH holds Regular Session

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina has agreed to open a Consulate General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Croatia in Split, with a consular area covering the Zadar, Šibenik-Knin, Split-Dalmatia and Dubrovnik-Neretva counties.

At today’s session, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina also adopted a Decision on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s accession to the 2005 Hague Convention on the Choice of Court, and a Decision on amending the Decision on the acceptance of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria on cooperation in the event of disasters.

The BiH Presidency made decisions on granting approval for concluding and determining the signatories of: Technical agreement between the Directorate for Civil Aviation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the French state, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of France, the General Directorate for Civil Aviation on cooperation in the field of civil aviation; then – the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of tourism between the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and “Qatar Tourism” of the State of Qatar; as well as the Joint Declaration of Intention to establish an institutional partnership to support regional economic development and strengthening the capacity of the Agency for the Advancement of Foreign Investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) between the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy of the Federal Republic of Germany, on the one hand, and the Agency for the Advancement of Foreign Investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), on the other hand.

The BiH Presidency made decisions on the ratification of: Council of Europe Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law; of the Joint Protocol on the Application of the Vienna Convention and the Paris Convention, drawn up in Vienna on September 21, 1988, Additional Protocol 7 on Dispute Resolution to the Agreement on Amendment and Accession to the Central European Free Trade Agreement; Decisions of the Joint Committee of the Central European Free Trade Agreement number 2/2024 on facilitating electronic commerce.

Also, decisions were made on the ratification of: the Additional Protocol to the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) on the Electronic Bill of Lading; Protocol on the Elimination of Illegal Trade in Tobacco Products, adopted by consensus on November 12, 2012 at the fifth session of the Conference of the Parties to the Framework Convention of the World Health Organization on Tobacco Control; Convention of the Council of Europe on the protection of the legal profession; Agreement on economic cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Korea; Convention of the Council of Europe against trafficking in human organs; of the Second Additional Protocol to the Convention on Computer Crime on Enhanced Cooperation and Disclosure of Electronic Evidence.

Decisions were also made on the ratification of five conventions and protocols of the International Labor Organization: Convention on chemicals from 1990 (number 170); Convention on safety and health in construction from 1988 (number 167); Convention on labor statistics from 1985 (number 160); Convention on occupational health and safety (port workers) from 1979 (number 152); 1969 Convention on Medical Care and Sickness Benefits (No. 130); and the Protocol from 2002 to the Convention on Occupational Safety and Health from 1981.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina passed the Decision on the cancellation of Convention (International Labor Organization) on Unemployment (1919) No. 2, announced the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
