The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, spoke today in Banja Luka with the Russian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Kalabuhov, and on that occasion it was stated that the priority is to preserve peace and stability, to preserve the Dayton Agreement, and that an equal dialogue of all parties, without imposing decisions, is the only way to progress in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dodik pointed out that during the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, all important issues were discussed, and that “Putin expressed his absolute commitment to support the RS, as well as that the RS will not be left alone on the political scene”, the President’s Cabinet announced.

Dodik informed Kalabukhov that the meetings during his visit to Russia were very successful and that through them the RS showed its importance and strengthened the friendly relationship with the Russian Federation.

He reiterated the clear principled position of the RS when it comes to the introduction of sanctions against Russia and that in this light its constitutional position must be respected, which he also informed Putin about.

The President of Srpska and the Ambassador of Russia discussed all important political issues for the RS and the recent visit to the Russian Federation.
