Zaimovic: With new Impositions, Schmidt would reduce Bosniaks to the Level of a National Minority

The announced possibility of imposing new amendments to the FBiH Constitution by the High Representative is a move that would completely make democracy and elections meaningless, and introduce the Bosniak people into an apartheid system in which their fate would be decided by the HDZ BiH voting body, claims the president of the SDA Club in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, Mirsad Zaimović.

As he states in his press statement, it is clear that the announced solutions would only benefit the HDZ BiH, a party that would become a constitutional category and that would not form a government with those Bosniak and pro-Bosnian parties that have the highest voter confidence, but would have the luxury of choosing those who offer them the most concessions.

“Taking into account the amendments imposed on the election night and the announced new imposition, it is evident that the High Representative and part of the international community are trying to reduce the Bosniak majority in the FBiH and the state of BiH to the level of a national minority that will be governed by parties with Serb and Croat prefixes and by Belgrade and Zagreb. Opposing this decision in all possible ways is the duty of all Bosnia and Herzegovina’s patriots, and agreeing to the imposition of this model or staying silent just because of positions in the government represents a first-rate act of betrayal,” concluded Zaimović.
