izboriThe press conference on the representation of the final results of the monitoring of the media during the election campaign in B&H 2014 will be held on Thursday, November 20 at 12:00 o’clock at the Media Centre in Sarajevo.

The media will get statements from: Mary Ann Hennessey, Head of the office of the Council of Europe in B&H; Lejla Turčilo, professor at the Faculty of political sciences in Sarajevo and Zlatiborka Popov – Momčinović, professor at the Faculty of Human sciences from East Sarajevo.

The monitoring has been implemented in accordance with the standards of the Council of Europe for pre-election reporting of the media and with a focus on 2 aspects: presence of hate speech in the media contents and frequency and way of presenting women politicians in the media. The monitoring was implemented by the Association of BH journalists between September 12th and October 25th, within the regional project of the Council of Europe “Promotion of the freedom of speech and freedom of media in South East Europe” financed by the Government of the Norway Kingdom.
