Price Level recorded in almost all Sectors in Bosnia and Herzegovina

In October 2019, on average, price levels increased and by divisions of COICOP classification in October 2019 compared to previous month, price levels increased by 0,8%, according to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Agency for Statistics.

Higher prices in divisions of Food and non- alcoholic beverages, Clothing and footwear, Housing and utilities, Health, Communications, Education and Restaurants and Hotels.

By divisions of COICOP classification, in October of 2019 as compared to the previous month, the price index increased in divisions of Food and non- alcoholic beverages by 0,1%, Clothing and footwear by 1,8%, Housing and utilities by 4,9%, Health, Communications, Education and Restaurants and hotels by 0,1%.

Lower prices in divisions of Furniture and furnishing, Transport, Recreation and Culture and Other goods and services.

By divisions of COICOP classification in October 2019 compared to previous month, the price index decreased in divisions of Furniture and furnishing by 0,3%, Transport by 0,2%, Recreation and Culture by 0,2% and Other goods and services by 0,1%.

On annual level, on average, price levels increased by 0,1%.

The price level in October 2019 as compared to the same month of the previous year increased by 0,1%.

The average increase of prices was recorded in divisions of Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 1,1%, Alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 6,0%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 1,4%, Health by 0,6%, Recreation and Culture by 1,3%, Education by 0,2%, Restaurants and hotels by 1,2% and Other goods and services by 0,2%.

The decrease of prices on average was recorded in divisions of Clothing and footwear by 10,8%, Furniture and furnishing by 0,3%, Transport by 1,7% and Communications by 0,3%.
