Price Levels in Bosnia-Herzegovina decreased in December

In December 2019, on average, price levels in Bosnia-Herzegovina decreased, according to Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Agency for Statistics.

By divisions of COICOP classification, in December of 2019 as compared to the previous month, the price index increased in divisions of food and non- alcoholic beverages by 0,5 percent, Health by 0,1 percent and recreation and culture by 0,1 percent.

Compared to previous month, the price index decreased in divisions of alcoholic drinks and tobacco by 0,1 percent, clothing and footwear by 5,1 percent, housing and utilities by 0,4 percent, furniture and furnishing by 0,1 percent and other goods and services by 0,2%.

The price level in December 2019 as compared to the same month of the previous year increased by 0,3 percent.

The average increase of prices was recorded in divisions of food and non-alcoholic beverages by 1,5 percent, alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 5,7 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0,9 percent, Health by 0,6 percent, communications by 0,1 percent, Recreation and Culture by 1,3 percent, education by 0,2 percent, restaurants and hotels by 1,2 percent and other goods and services by 0,3 percent.

The decrease of prices on average was recorded in divisions of clothing and footwear by 11,7 percent, furniture and furnishing by 0,3 percent and transport by 0,8 percent.
