On Friday, April 14, Ambassador Kinefuchi attended the award ceremony for the 8th Drawing competition, which was held at the UNDP premises.

Schools from Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar, East Sarajevo and Tuzla participated in this year’s competition, whose theme was “Clean air – Green life”, and about 700 drawings from 34 schools were submitted. The authors of the best drawings were invited to the UNDP premises for the award ceremony.

Ambassador Kinefuchi said that all drawings were wonderful and it was difficult to decide which ones were better than the others, and he congratulated all the participants and their teachers. He also expressed his wish that children will work together to create a peaceful, prosperous and ecological country.

The 8th Drawing competition was organized by UNDP in BiH in cooperation with the NGO Ipil Ipil no Kai, as part of the project “Inclusive Decarbonization Activity – IDA”, and conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH. As a part of the project “Inclusive

Decarbonization Activity – IDA” the Government of Japan contributed with the UNDP for the preparation of the Environment strategies of BiH and other activities, with 1,870,000 US dollars funding, and this drawing competition is one of such activities.
