Production of Drinking Milk recorded Increase in Bosnia and Herzegovina

In August this year, the total amount of collected cow’s milk increased by 5,1% in relation to the same period of 2019. Production of drinking milk increased by 22,7% and butter and other yellow fat products by 16,1%, while the production of cream decreased by 21,1%, acidified milk by 20,5% and cow’s cheese by 14,8% in relation with the same period of 2019, according to data published by BH Agency for Statistics on Wednesday.

The total amount of milk fat decreased by 0,8%, while the total amount of milk protein increased by 0,3% in relation to the same period of 2019.

In August 2020 the number of slaughtered cattle increased by 5,70% and pigs by 4,28%, while the number of slaughtered sheep decreased by 55,90% and poultry by 0,48% in relation with the same period of 2019.

The net weight of slaughtered cattle increased by 18,31% and of slaughtered pigs by 16,37%, while the net weight of slaughtered sheep decreased by 57,27% and of slaughtered poultry by 0,64% in relation with the same period of 2019.
