Professor Emeritus Zeljko Sain Passes Away at 71

Željko Šain has passed away at the age of 71. This was announced today on Facebook by Nijaz Skenderagić, vice president of the Alliance of Anti-Fascists and Veterans of the National Liberation War in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Professor emeritus of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Sarajevo and the first doctor of science in the field of actuarial mathematics in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he taught at the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Sarajevo for more than 40 years.

He was also the dean of the Faculty of Economics from 2012 to 2016. He is the author and editor of numerous scientific and professional publications in the field of economics, and an active participant in many domestic and international projects.

Professor Šain was an exceptional expert who made an invaluable contribution to the development of the academic community and the financial
system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
