A Project Partner was selected for the Construction of Block 7 in Tuzla

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina today accepted the final information on the selection of the project partner for the construction of the Block 7 of the TPP Tuzla, which was prepared by Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. Sarajevo, and gave this public company consent for the selection of the Consortium China Gezhouba Group Company Ltd – CGGC and the China Energy Engineering Group, Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. – GEDI to construct Block 7 in the Tuzla power plant.

The Government also agreed to the proposed texts of the Project Partnership Agreement between Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. Sarajevo and the Consortium, as well as the Contract for Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Block 7.

The Federal Government agreed that the Steering Committee and the Oversight Board of Elektroprivreda BiH should continue activities to select a project partner for the construction of Block 7, with which Elektroprivreda BiH will conclude a Project Partnership Agreement, harmonize and adopt an Implementation Plan for the complete Construction Project and conclude an Engineering Contract.

The Government also gave the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry consent in the process of issuing an energy permit to the investor of JP Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. Sarajevo for the construction of Block 7 in TPP Tuzla with a capacity of 450 MW and planned the annual production of electricity of 2,739.81 GWh and 390,9 GWh of thermal energy.

The federal prime minister will send the information, the conclusion of the Government and the Proposal of the Conclusion to the Parliament of the FBiH and request consent in the process of issuing the energy permit to the investor of JP Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. Sarajevo, in order for the competent ministry to start with the activities for the issuance of the energy license.
