Prosecutor’s Office opened a Case regarding the Illegalities in Highway Subdivision Construction

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Herzegovina Neretva Canton established a case in which the illegalities mentioned in the report on the construction of the Vranduk-Ponirak subdivision are being investigated, it was confirmed for BHRT in the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

“We inform you that the HNŽ/K Prosecutor’s Office formed a case and that the acting prosecutor, to whom the case was assigned, analyzed the file, and at the prosecutor’s request, the Federal Police Administration was asked to undertake certain investigative actions within its jurisdiction and to check the allegations from the application, as well as the analysis of submitted documentation and other operational and investigative actions, all with the aim of establishing the correct factual situation and collecting material evidence,” the competent prosecutor’s office announced.

The construction of the “Vranduk-Ponirak” subsection of the V-C corridor in the last three years has often been the subject of media coverage of alleged irregularities, the planned funds for construction have been spent, and only 40% of the said subsection has been built. In the meantime, the works have been completely stopped and it is not known when the works will be resumed.
