New protests are scheduled for September 11th in Sarajevo because the cases of the deaths of young men Dzenan Memic and David Dragicevic have not been clarified yet.

This was announced by the group “Justice for Dzenan”, reminding that this will be the 20th protest.

“For Dzenan and David’s justice, for the safety of your children! We are counting on your support,” they stated.

The protests should start at 1 p.m.

To recall, Dzenan Memic was killed on the night of February 2016 in Ilidza’s Great Alley, and back then, Alisa Ramic (maiden name Mutap) was with him. More than five years later, it has not been determined how the young man was killed.

At the end of last month, the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) acquitted Ljubo and Bekrija Seferovic, which the cantonal prosecutor’s office accused of causing the accident in which Memic died. Earlier, this court twice annulled the acquittals that were handed down by the cantonal court in Sarajevo.

In the meantime, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has indicted Ramic, her father Zijad Mutap, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Canton Sarajevo (CS) Hasan Dupovac and Josip Baric, and Crystal Hotel receptionist Muamer Ozegovic, who worked the night Memic was killed.

They were accused of organized crime and preventing the discovery and proving the cause of the young man’s suffering.

The Memic family and their legal representative, Ifet Feraget, have claimed since Dzenan’s death that he was killed.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH took over the investigation into the cause of death of David Dragicevic in April this year from the District Public Prosecutor’s Office in Banja Luka. His disappearance was reported on March 18th, 2018 in Banja Luka, and the body was found six days later.

From then until today, the Dragicevic family claims that David was killed and that the institutions are covering it up. They also expressed dissatisfaction with the investigation at the protests.

In February 2019, David’s father, Davor Dragicevic, left BiHand has been in Vienna ever since. After leaving Banja Luka, he stated that he did it so that he would not be “liquidated”, Klix.ba writes.
