Putting Mine ‘Kamengrad’ into Operation soon?

kamengrad2Minister of Economy of the Una-Sana Canton (USC) Vid Santic and the Executive Director of the company “Lager” from Posusje Zeljko Lovric signed an agreement today in Bihac on granting the concession for the exploration and exploitation of brown coal at the locality of Zlausa, in Fajtovci near Gornji Kamengrad, the Municipality of Sanski Most.

The concession was granted for 30 years to this company, after it was estimated that there is a public interest for this allocation, which will provide investment and reopen jobs places, which were closed after the bankruptcy of the Brown Coal Mine (RMU) Kamengrad.

“We are expecting considerable income from concession fees, because only one-time fee for a total area amounts to about 214,000 BAM, and the annual fee amounts to 40,000 BAM, and 80 fenings per ton of excavated quantity during the year,” said Minister Santic.

Besides paying the concession fee, company “Lager” will employ, as said, already on the beginning 50 workers in Sanski Most.
